Our Coverage
Top Brunch Spots publishes city shortlists, neighborhood guides, restaurant listings, and brunch stories. The current city rankings are based on collected review data, rather than firsthand critic visits. The broader directory includes archived information and photos from the original site.
How The City Rankings Work
See How It Works for the full restaurant ranking methodology and a guide to using the site.
For guides using our multi-platform method, we prioritize candidates matched on at least two platforms. The available sources receive weights of Google 40%, Yelp 35%, and TripAdvisor 25%; weights are rescaled when a source is missing. A missing rating is not treated as zero.
We adjust platform ratings toward the collected city-sample average according to review volume, using confidence priors of 200 reviews for Google, 100 for Yelp, and 50 for TripAdvisor. This reduces the influence of a small number of unusually high ratings. Where fewer than ten corroborated candidates are available, the remaining places use labeled Google evidence.
We aim to include one restaurant brand per city. Collected Google geography and permanent-closure flags inform candidate selection. Each city guide explains its method, coverage, and data dates; some guides use an earlier Google-only method.
What The Ratings Do Not Establish
Ratings are snapshots, not guarantees of quality or current operating status. Review authenticity has not been independently established. Recent food, customer service, value, and atmosphere sentiment is not scored where dated review evidence is insufficient. A price category indicates cost, not value for money. Available reviewer subratings are shown separately.
Our candidate sample is not an exhaustive census. Most addresses have not been independently corroborated across platforms. Ambiguous venue matches are held out where identified, and platform coverage varies by city.
Archived Listings & Photography
Neighborhood and directory pages may include historical restaurant listings recovered from the original site. Photographs associated with those listings show the archived restaurant and may not reflect its current menu or interior. They are not evidence of a recent editorial visit.
Confirm current menus, hours, prices, reservations, dietary requirements, and accessibility directly with the restaurant. Holiday guides list planning options unless a specific dated holiday offering is documented.
Updates & Corrections
A page update date records a content change; it does not mean every listing was freshly checked. Rating collection dates are reported separately where available.

Advertising
The site includes third-party advertising technology. Advertising placements are separate from restaurant rating evidence and do not establish an editorial recommendation. Any sponsored editorial placement must be clearly labeled and kept separate from review-based rankings.
