C.Lo Cafe

Who isn’t in Bushwick nowadays? C. Lo Cafe aims to celebrate Guatemalan roots while serving a tasty meal and there are plenty of spicy options for those that aren’t scared of the heat. Some classic sides and dishes to look out for include plantains cooked to both creamy and crispy deliciousness, aguacate toast for a refreshed take on the now-boring avocado toast, and a BELT sandwich with rave reviews. There are also drinks served with fresh juices and the necessary alcohol, a breakfast burrito for when you need one, and a Guatemalan plate with all the favorites.

This place stops serving food around 12, which is pretty reasonable. For anyone who is a bit of a homebody or who likes to eat at home without having to make the meal, C. Lo has quite the to-go system down. Much of their business comes from to-go and delivery. This makes for an easy way to eat something you wouldn’t ordinarily make.

This place does serve up some negatives, as their service during peak hours (and with so many to-go’s and regular patrons) can be a little lackluster. There is also the problem of prices for some, this is NYC, so some portions might not match up to the price.  Regardless, this place has been notable as one of the best brunches in Brooklyn.
