The Best
Harlem Brunches

Harlem is
known for many things. Most famously for the Harlem Renaissance, which included
some of the best Jazz musicians to ever grace the planet. But with Harlem
becoming increasingly gentrified, there have been swankier restaurants entering
the famous, diverse neighborhood. So much so that many Brooklynites have been
known to battle the MTA just to try out the newest spot. If you’re up for a
long subway adventure or are already living on the Upper West Side, then Harlem
should be your next destination for a scrumptious brunch.

Red Rooster

Who didn’t
know this was coming? Red Rooster, and the restaurant’s chef, Marcus
Samuelsson, are an institution in cuisine. The famous Harlem eatery is also
open for brunch (if you can get in, be aware that they don’t take reservations
on Sundays). Like the global combination of cultures that Red Rooster compiles
in its lunch and dinner dishes, the brunch menu reflects a southern hospitality
(complete with chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy) as well as odes to
traditional Mexican breakfast options like chilaquiles. Not to mention:
cornbread with honey butter.

For the bruncher who wants quality in their Sunday outing, Red Rooster is the place you can go to get it and impress your friends at the same time.

Harlem brunch offers more than interchangeable pancake lists. Compare Lido’s white polenta and poached eggs, Red Rooster’s Lenox Avenue Southern menu and Melba’s chicken with an eggnog waffle. The distinctions include a kitchen cutoff, possible music cover and Red Rooster’s unpublished brunch cutoff, which needs a call, so choose around both the food and the actual visit.

Separate Dining Time From Music And Kitchen Time

Lido’s brunch kitchen closes before its listed dining window ends. Red Rooster may add a live-music cover. Melba’s serves its weekend brunch menu from 10 AM to 3 PM, with final brunch orders at 3 PM; chicken and eggnog waffles are available all day every day. Check these differences before arranging another fixed-time activity.

Compare The Complete Visit

Read the named dishes and included sides before comparing prices. A weekend brunch, daily cafe breakfast and online pickup service can have different hours. Use the direct menu and visit sources to confirm your day, final food order, complete-party seating and any charges.

Lido Harlem

Lido adds Italian-inspired options to the Harlem selection, including poached eggs over white polenta and a short-rib hash. Lido lists Saturday and Sunday brunch from 10:30 AM to 4 PM, with the kitchen closing at 3:30 PM. Use the Harlem branch and compare the stated white polenta with poached eggs example with its included sides and charges. Lido lists Saturday and Sunday brunch from 10:30 AM to 4 PM, with the kitchen closing at 3:30 PM. Plan food orders before the kitchen cutoff rather than treating 4 PM as the last order. White Polenta With Poached Eggs. White polenta is $20, short-rib hash $25 and blueberry pancakes $19. Drinks, tax, gratuity and applicable charges are additional; optional drinks offers have separate conditions. Reserve through Lido’s official site for 2168 Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Confirm the party size and seating, particularly if arriving close to 3:30 PM.

Red Rooster Harlem

Red Rooster’s Lenox Avenue brunch offers a cheddar omelette, red-velvet walnut pancake and a cornbread-and-gravy plate alongside larger Southern dishes. The official menu identifies Saturday and Sunday brunch. Use the Harlem branch and compare the stated cheddar cheese omelette example with its included sides and charges. Red Rooster’s current brunch menu specifies Saturday and Sunday. Its Harlem dining room opens at 11 AM on Saturday and 10 AM on Sunday. A brunch ending time is not published in the current menu; evening dining-room hours are not a brunch cutoff. Cheddar Cheese Omelette. The omelette is $24, red-velvet walnut pancake $25 and cornbread with gravy $28. The menu says a $10-per-person live-music cover may apply. Confirm any cover, tax, drinks, gratuity and other charges before booking. Reserve Harlem through Red Rooster’s official reservations page for 310 Lenox Avenue. Verify the selected service, music cover and any group terms; the Miami restaurant is a different venue.

Melba’s Harlem

Choose Melba’s Harlem for Southern fried chicken with an eggnog waffle, available all day every day, or visit Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM for its breakfast brunch menu and grits dishes. Place brunch orders by 3 PM. Melba’s management confirmed that the breakfast brunch menu and grits dishes are served Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM at 300 West 114th Street, Harlem. The kitchen stops taking brunch orders at 3 PM. Chicken and eggnog waffles are available all day, every day. Confirmed directly on October 21, 2026. Southern Fried Chicken And Eggnog Waffle. The currently linked Harlem menu lists chicken and eggnog waffle $26, catfish and waffle $27 and a waffle alone $15. Confirm sides, drinks, tax, gratuity and any added charges. Use Melba’s official reservations page for 300 West 114th Street. Ask about your party size, current brunch service and any seating limit before committing to a time.
